The Challenge
Our client, Mr. & Mrs. Davies, had a cramped 1990s bathroom with a bulky bath that took up most of the floor space. They wanted a modern, open-plan feel that was easy to clean and future-proofed for accessibility needs.
The Solution
We proposed a complete wetroom conversion. By removing the bath and tanking (waterproofing) the entire floor, we could create a seamless zero-entry shower area.
- Stripped out: Old suite, tiles, and rotten floorboards.
- Drainage: Installed a high-flow linear drain to handle the power shower output.
- Underfloor Heating: Laid Warmup electric UFH mats for drying the floor quickly and adding comfort.
- Tiling: Used large format porcelain tiles to minimise grout lines.
The Result
The new bathroom feels twice the size. The frameless glass screen stops splash without blocking light, and the thermostatic rain shower provides a spa-like experience. The customer was delighted with the finish and our team's tidiness.
